Are there any plants with antibiotic properties which grow in the English countryside?

willow contain salicin, which is the base for aspirin, It is also used for treating verrucas, warts etc. Oak bark contains tannin which is antiseptic. Walnut leaves are astringent. There is also a plant called soapwort. the roots were used to make soap so i am sure that would deter bacteria as well
