An old dog don't change his habits just because he has a new bone. If he showed his friends your friends pics when he got mad at her he will do the same to you. He is manipulating you into doing something you don't feel comfortable doing. If he breaks up with you for not doing it then he doesn't really care for you at all he is only using you.
