Are you single by choice? why?

I choose to live alone because I cannot tolerate the constant attention or demands for attention that a relationship involves. I maybe a bit selfish with my time, and don't see the need to get involved in a serious relationship because I know they will become "serious" while I will eventually get uncomfortable with the closeness.
