Is hair gel bad for your hair?

1) hair gel isn't bad for your hair if you take care of your hair. 2) hair gel won't help straighten your hair it will just hold it in place. 3) hair gel is probably better but if you want straight hair straightening won't totally kill your hair. 4) Aussie products work for me.
