Is this a good idea, help me out?

Neon is definitely the better way to go for visibility. Most people just put LED in their rims to create a cool mind screw when driving at night. In the plastics and underbody, neon would create a nice steady glow all around. LED are really designed to flash on and off. They'll burn out quick if you just have them stay on all the time.
