Waiting for him....but how long puting life on hold???

I met this guy who i like and his friend said he's crazy about me...but he's a couple hrs away so we've only hung out a few times. The problem is, I'm puting my dating life on hold to see if this guy will get more serious, but it's like he never makes it clear if we'll start dating!! so i've past up 2 opratunities this last week to hang with other guys (guys that i know we'd end up messin around if we hung) since I want to see where this will go. How long do I wait???
