I think I have a virus, but my anti-virus says there isn't anything wrong?

I have 5 different anti-virus programs on my computer. One finds a virus, the others do not. Varies all the time. AVG is one of them I use. Bad guys use a lot of different viruses so you now need more than one anit-virus program accordingly. Never heard of Kaspersky.
